THE CHOLAS DYNASTY
The Cholas (8th -12th Century AD) are remembered as one of the longest – ruling dynasties in the southern regions of india.
At its height in the 11th century- ruled much of south India and as far Sri Lanka and the Maldive Islands. Diplomatic Missions reached burma(Myanmar), Malaysia and China.
Chola architecture (871-1173 AD) was the epitome of the Dravida Style Of temple architecture.
An Important Peice Of Chola sculpture was the sculpture of Nataraja in the Tandava dance Posture.
